Hi, new guy here... Warm/hot start problem on my folk's 5.0 throttle body injected engine. Intermittent at first, now more consistent. Can't work on it again for another week or so but thought I'd see what you guys suggest.

History: Cold starts fine, but after running as little as 90 seconds it cranks fine but won't catch after being off 30 seconds. Same after 5-10 minute drive then off 5-10 min.- a couple of those times it seemed to flood during the cranking. Several tries later, starts, runs fine.

Recently:
Cleaned the throttle body (not very dirty)
Electric choke and choke pull-off seem to work fine. During the problem restarts choke's still warmed up and disengaged from the throttle plate shaft arm (no choke).

Last couple of times, pedal to the floor or maybe near the floor made it start- sputtered a bit then smoothed out. Sure seems to be air flow / mixture related. The throttle plates move so little choked / pulled-off / warm restart, can't see any difference when looking into the barrels. How do we check for correct position for warm start?

Is the throttle kicker used during warm restart? Is throttle plate warm start position just set by the tb springs/levers? Can't remember if this has an idle speed control; if it does, is that used for warm starts? Or...

Thanks -
