I was talking car stereo with a guy at work the other day, and said something about my stereo not sounding up to its full potential and he said that a lot of cars have a sound deadener behind the rear seats that you can remove. Is there a deadener in the 95' LX model? If so, how do you remove it?

never heard of anything like that, i know some models had a JBL amp i think, but never a deadener. sure he doesn't mean a device that steps down teh audio for amps? usually those are only in place when you have an amp, pointless otherwise. and if you take it out and keep the amp, your stereo will sound like shit.

There is a black mat of sound blocking material behind the back seat...its there to block out a lot of the "droning" sound from the rear wheels ( if you do not have a decent system this noise can be annoying)...if you are running subs and/or listen to music pretty loud you can get away with removing it as the music will drown out the "droning" anyways.
