I also had that happen. Under the hood on driverside of car is a box. It contains more fuses and relays. That was where my problem was. I had a short due to moisture corrosion. Two yellow butt connectors and a inline fuse holder my problem was solved

I currently have the same problem. I found the blown fuse, but here is my dilemma. I looked on the underside of the fuse box, and where the fuse goes, there is only the orange wire still attached. There is an old corroded end on the opposite end, which I removed, but I cannot find the wire that goes with it anywhere. Is the orange wire the only one that is installed? I have a Chiltons and a Haynes manual, but the wiring diagrams are not specific enough and do not show the missing second wire, if there is one. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks!

There isnt a mysteryt wire. The corrosion you see is from an "electrical bus" which used to serve as power to orange wire through the fuse.
I cut the orange wire and added an inline fuse, using the screw terminal that has the big red wire going to the bottm of the fuse box, all is well again.
