well I got the bottom end stroker from fasterthanyou.com (slower than hell shipping lol) installed with a new head, (3 angle valve job and ported) now I am putting on a fmic and piping on my 95 gs/t. I have alittle more work to do . I still have the T3/T4 from hahn but I dont think it will be going back on for all intents and purposes. so my questions are as follows. should I look for a different turbo and if so what do you recommend. I was running at 8psi wot before but I am trying to improve on that by a long shot, I should be able to handle a lot more now right? and how should I go about adding more to it. I got a lot of money tied up and I don't want to spoil the fun before I break in the motor. I got alot more questions but I will ask them a few at a time to avoid confusion. sorry if I sound like a newb retard but its my first 420a motor build and I wanna get it right

if your question is directed to eclipserst only, then i suggest keeping it to pm's.

the t3/t4 will work just fine... when i first built my motor i started boosting at 15psi... and from there on i added a pound of boost ever week or 2 just so i could monitor the motor and see how it liked the boost... so far i am up to 23psi but i havent touched it in awhile seening i havent driven the car in a little over 3 months! if you dont have a datalogger i strongly suggest you get one! there are several things that need to be upgraded when you take the step of building the motor to build more boost, you need a better fuel system, i'd suggest the 255lph fuel pump and a set of either 550cc or 660cc injectors depending on how much boost you really want to run! i ran 550's forever before i switched to the 660s but you also need a fuel controller, IMO i think the S-AFCII is the best by far, seeing we cant put DSMlink on our cars unless you repin the wiring harness! the S-AFCII has a knock sensor and better adjustments over the S-AFCI so i'd get the 2nd version if i were you... its all what you want, i'm not tring to tell you want to do but its just what i did. and if i were to do it again i would do it the same way, just tring to help everyone so they dont get something then a month later realize "oh this sucks, now i gotta upgrade, that was a waste of $XXX amount of dollars"... and i dont know what you were planning for on hp ranges or even how much air lbs/min you were planning to flow, its all up to you.

yeah I have the walbro from the first kit. and I only got 550cc's. But I thought you fried the s-afcII? just a fluke or a factory glitch? I am working on the data logger but like I said ,I still got some work. how much of a pain is repinning the harness? wouldnt the safcII hold more advantages over the dsmlink. In all honesty I don't know what I am planning for hp ranges either, just trying to get it all back together , break it in for a lil while the start adding more boost till I get close, (we all want LIGHTSPEED!!! but gotta be realistic) I'll find out at the dyno. any thing to the ingition end of this spectrum, as in upgrading that too? because that will be FREE. lol . It has crane cams as of now (though I did some measuring and its pretty much the same as stock except probably a longer intake duration). Sucks that I am putting this all in at the same time, I won't be able to judge what kind of hp increase each part gives me.......oh well. lol. anyways thanks in advance for your help Jake. and if any one else has done any of this feel free with suggestions too. damn, my wallet has withdrawl pains.

no i fried my AVC-R in my GST so i am using a MBC now until i find another AVC-R... and no, dsmlink is way better than the S-AFC because the S-AFC lies to the computer when dsmlink changes the computer settings and works with the computer!

wait I thought you had to have an eprom ecu to change settings. if so is there not a piggy back out there?

S-AFC you can change the settings on the controller and then it just tells the ECU what you changed... it lies to the ECU to get it to flow more or less fuel

cool, got it now. is there a site or thread about setting one up. (not installing but programing) I know that every car is different, but what would be a good base line or fuel curve to start? I think I can get one at a fair price and I don't feel like messing with pinning my harness unless the dsmlink is an easier tool to use.

just to let you know repinning the harness was a pain in the ass... it took me 2 - 12-15hr days to repin and put all new sensors in to work with the harness! i'd suggest the S-AFC and a Datalogger, check out www.pocketlogger.com (http://www.pocketlogger.com)
