I have replaced the battery cable, battery, pulled the starter and had it checked. (The starter engaged and turned on the tester) With the ignition in the on position, I'm getting all dash lights, headlights work, buzzer works, radio works etc. When I turn the key to the start position, all I get is a single clicking sound out of the fuse box next to the battery, but the starter still will not engage. Any ideas what could be causing this problem?

Thanks

There is a relay under the hood check that on my old 92 under the windshild washer tank in the wire harness the was a wire that corroded off because of windshield washer fluid getting spilled on the harness thats may 2 cents

Check the distributor - My '89 was stalling out while going down the road. After numerous testing, we found that there was a small wire in the distributor that was bad. Maybe that is something to look at, I don't know.

Thanks to those that replied, but I have fixed my problem. After checking for the wiring issue and not finding an issue there, I decided to take a sledge hammer to the starter.

I am now the proud owner of a new starter and a running '95 3.9.

Thanks
