Adding Overhead Console

I just bought an overhead console (factory Style) for My 1998 K1500 ext cab. I have searched around for instalation notes on the net and can't find any. Anyone done this and have tips? It looks like it slides under a bracket in the back and one screw in the front. What is the easiest way to take the headliner down to see the bare roof?
