Hi guys,
I want to work on my brakes but I don't trust keeping the car up on the OEM scissor jack. I have a 2.5 ton floor jack and 4 jackstands but I'm not sure exactly where to safely support my car. THanks!

I always put them on the outside edges, under ur doors, between the wheels. What i mean by that is just put the stands right behind the front wheels and right in front of the back wheels. Just make sure that you place them in about the same location all around so that it has good balance. I also leave the jack in place as an extra precaution if its not in ur way (it shouldnt be for brakes tho)

So basically put the stands in the locations where the factory scissor jack is placed. The contact spot of the jack is specifically made to fit on those areas whereas the jackstands are not. I'm just worried of bending the crap out of those areas and not being able to use the scissor jack on those spots again.

You can also check you cars owners manuel and it will tell you the jack points.
