Stinky MR2

Hey i just bought a 1985 toyota Mr2 yesterday and its awesome but i have a problem. When I drive it every once and a while the car will smell like something is burning .. i think the smell is coming from the heater vents cause my window gets foggy whenever this happens...if anyone can help that would be awesome. Other than that the car is hella cool I also have a 1984 rabbit Gti and the MR2 is so much funner to drive. I hope to get pics on here before next week :evillol:

Hey I was messing with the car the other day and i think some of the smell is coming from the carpet, the guy stored it for a few years. I was wonderin does anyone know any sites tog et new carpet for this year of MR2? i think JC whitney has it but doesnt their stuff suck??

......... someone help awww the smell!!!!!!! I think i know what the smell is after many days of trying, i drove it for like an hour today and the cabin smelled like anti-freeze or paint or something like that really faint but it gave me a head ache....plz someone help

for new carpet, try ebay.

the smell is in the passenger side footwell, right?


there is a drain tube for the AC that goes down the right side of the dash in the footwell. try fixing that first, and just taking the carpet out and cleaning it.

yeah i got a smell too. But its in the trunk. Its really really really bad. I mean jesus. It smells like there was a dead body in the trunk. I put so many odor eaters and sprays its ridiculous. Even a pet odor spray that smelled like a dry box of fruity pebles. And the smell keeps comming back!
