Replacing 93 Exp Control Arm Bushings

My control arm bushings are shot (or should I say gone). I picked up the bushings and need to get going on the install, any advice?

It looks like if I remove the sway bar and jack it up, the live axle should lower enough to remove the bushings and re-assemble, is this correct? Or, will I also have to remove the shock to allow enough travel?

Or, am I missing the boat and going at this completely wrong?

Forgot to mention, this one is 4 wheel drive

Any advice?

your shocks shouldn't limit your travel at all you might have to remove the coil springs though thats the only way to get more travel out of a 4x4

The job is done, took about 8 hours (never done it before, someone with a little experience maybe 1/2 that).

Place jack stands under vehicle and jack under axle
Removed shocks
Removed front drive shaft
Removed sway bar

Removed bolt holding trailing arm to chasis
Lowered jack
removed bushings
Installed 1 bushing
Raised axle so that trailing arm went back in
Installed 2nd bushing
Torqued to spec.
Re-assembled

Did other side. A second set of hands would have really made this job go much easier.

Wow did that make a difference in the ride...
