oil pressure gauge

got my auto meter oil pressure gauge finally installed...now i'm asking a question about it because my knowledge on these things isn't too good. at idle it reads a little under 25. normally cruising around it'll vary from 50 - 75...when i'm at WOT it reads past 100 even though my gauge only goes to 100...just wondering if this was normal to be this high?

also, am i able to splice the stock oil pressure gauge into my new oil pressure gauge? i replaced the sending unit, and there is a wire running from it to the gauge...just wondering if i could splice my old gauge wire into that wire to have both gauges working.

thanks for the help

THats perfectly normal pressure.

I wouldnt run two guages off one sender. I Would use the aftermarket pressure guage on that port, and keep the idot light sender on the other port.
