I got an older set of hifonic 6.5 components and i like them alot, i plan to get a small hifonics amp for them. But i have a question
i got an ext. cab tacoma and want a small simple system and i was lookin at the Hifonics Zeus HZ12 which is like 450rms and 800peak or something like that. Is the hifonics sub any decent and are the power ratings somewhat accurate?

ive had the hifonics components for awhile and they are pretty nice, but deff. need an amp to get more bass out of them, but i guess ill just get 2 of the Hifonics Zeus HZ12 they are only like 80 bucks or so on ebay. Also goin to run all hifonics amps
would 2 12's be better in a sealed or ported box?
i listen to rock, and techno

1.57 Cubic feet tuned to 32.7hz with some adjustments for port velocity etc should work out fine

my suggestion is 2 boxes or a big box divided into 2 equal cabinents with different ports for each box. .78cubic feet per driver each tuned to 32.6hz with the largest port area possible...

umm right? lol i dont really know much about ported boxes, ill probally have to have it made
i was thinkin 2 seperate boxes, one on each end and then like an amp rack to connec them in the middle, its an ext. cab truck so i got the back and i think that would look sweet

I had the oppertunity to sit in the hifonics product car (4th gen civic hatch), there square subs blew me away. Definitaly the best sound and quality I had ever heard. Fixing to order two hifonics 1500w amps for my current pioneer dvc 10's, but planning to replace them with the hifonics square 12's.

well that cart probly had an insanly good install, one that most people could not achieve, and if you are used to pioneers then i don't know how good those sqaure subs actualyl are.
i'd say the kicker's would have better sq, i wouldn't go with a sqaure sub if you're trying for sq.

because i haven't heard anyhting about them and i have heard about other subs, and hofonics make good amps and is know for them, if they made good subs don't you think they would be known for making those too.

calm down, i wasn't talkin shit about anything, i'm just saying that comparing a daily driver to a profesionally desgined show car usually will yeild a great difference in sound quality. i never said that you were used to subpar stuff.
for the record i wouldn't go with hifonics subwoofers.
