My wifes 93 dodge shadow developed a miss and died, now it won't start. Turns over, timming belt good. I checked for fuel got good fuel. I replaced cap, rotor, plugs and wires 2 months ago. It's not getting any spark. So I had on the shelf a new pick up switch for the distributor from mopar ( I used to be ASE Tech in early 80's to 92) Still got no spark I verified a signal with pick-up switch key on it triggers relay fires injector. Also verified signal (voltage test light only) power is getting to coil but only when key is in start position and crankin. replaced coil any way, made wife go get it so she would stop buggin me. No spark from coil still (crap wife still buggin) I had fan quit a month ago just wired in a relay to have it run when key is on. Maybe this is a sign. I havent worked on one of these in a long time does the computer, ECM, engine controller or what ever they call it in this car a known unit to fail? There are no codes showing. I have a DRB ll with a 88-90 module in it (useless) that figures. Show me the path, get wife to kool out. Oh I replaced temp senders trying to fix fan. Haynes about as good my vintage test equipment lol. :screwy:
Can you buy a engine controller on line? if so where...

can some one tell me what controls the (autoshutdown) relay?
Should the coil be getting power when key is on in the run position? It does have power to it when cranking but not when in run position. I found that it does have a code 33,42,55 yes it does have A/C. I have pulled all connectors under hood and they all are in nice shape and added some dielectric grease to them anyway. None of the books I have show what runs the ASD relay it does have power to it but I'm not sure what to look for short of ripping the hole harness apart and chaseing the wires from end to end.

First trouble this car ever gave us since new, boy it's a good one.
Except for the spotted teal chrysler paint lol.
