1998 Camry gear shift cable

cable has snapped off at tranny. Is this a difficult replacement task? Any problems getting through the firewall? How do I remove the console and how is the cable connected? Any help or referral to a website will be appreciated. Keith

The whole removal/replacement process can be very difficult if you've never tackled a task like it before.
