i need to know how much it costs to get a complete car repainted? i have a metallic grey paint on my car now and im gettin the JDM front end with CF hood and i want my paint color to be phoenix yellow(for those who dont know, thats Type-R yellow). and i want full detailed and factory paint none of this paint over original paint or just paint the outside. im droppin my engine before i take it in to get it painted so they can paint the engine bay as well and i also want my door jams and trunk jams painted and all parts painted separately. im also getting the type-r spoiler. and i also want to shave off the side moldings, get rid of the rear washer squirter on top(i never use that). now i can sand down teh paint and prime it which i already did to my current hood, fenders, and front & rear bumpers to sell in the future
so anyone know an estimated price for that full project?
but by the time i get my car painted, ill be stripping down the interior and to make the body shop's job easier i can take the body parts off and put it in our u-haul and take it to them ready to set up so they dont have to spend the time taking apart my car and putting it together(to reduce labor price) and pull my car onto my trailer
haha hopefully someone can help me out here

well i guess that all sepends on how good the bodyshop is you take it to. Like one of my friends took his car to one place and it looked like crap and my brother took his to another place and you couldnt even tell that it had been repainted. so like i said it all depends on the bodyshop.

$3000 is ok for a paint job, but if you expect people to not tell the car has been painted then expect to spend around $5000-$7000

gosh man spending those much for a paint job is rediculous!!! you should keep it original color metallic silver, its a nice color, and plus u dont have to paint the engine bay. From around 1500 - 2000 is enough. Uses your money for other important stuff. By the way, your not a type r, maybe the closest protoytpe. Plus u need type r accessories and have to get 5 lugs conversion too, hahaha, thats an extra 2k. Beside the type r chasis is way lighter then the orginal integra and also the suspension. Low tegg good luck dog, stick with the silver if i were u. Guess what mine is a silver one too

damn u people r crazy for spend n so much money on paint! y not sell ur teg and just search for a real yellow ITR. $5-7G's on paint!!!! whatever floats ur boat man.

well im getting my whole car repainted in black because my bumper is scratched up from a chick hitting it plus i need to get my fender painted as well. painting the whole car with no serious body work is only costing me $330 (i got a hook up from one of my friends who knows the painter)

but if i were u i would just search for a real type R. it's gonna cost u way more to convert ur car to a fake ITR

Damn, if you pay over a 2k for a paintjob... your an idiot.. you can find fancy paintjobs cheaper than that.

not everyone has access to a good painter for cheap. one of my friends paints cars so i got mine for a good deal, but otherwise you might have to pay quite a bit of money for a good paint job. when it comes to painting, you get what you pay for. horrible paint (omni) is about $250 for everything you need at wholesale, if your painter is very good he can make this paint look nice. pretty good paint (deltron) is about $650 for what you need at wholesale, this paint looks good even for an amateur painter. now ppg or autocolor can cost anywhere from $1000-2000 for everything you need and this is some badass paint, you can definately tell when someone has used this paint. a paintjob is noit something you always look for who does it cheaper than the other, this is an art that the quality varies form person to person. i suggest checking out some of the work the person has done on cars before and take that into consideration. if you just want a shitty paint job then go look for the cheapest guy because there is a reason why he is the cheapest.

well to buy an ITR here where i live is almost impossible in all my life i lived in VA ive only ever seen 3 itr's 1 black 2 yellows im not worried about the weight of the car plus i know how to sand and prime and plus take off body parts and be able to take it in for them ready to just paint and not spend time on anything else im not getting my paintjob yet not til i get out of college which is another 3 years so maybe by then i'll find someone to hook me up with the paint i already have a guy who can hook me up with any engine work exhuast suspension wheels brakes once i get a paintjob i wouldnt have to pay too much money on labor on anything else i can already do brakes suspension all interior and a majority of engine work but anyways ill try to get a picture of my car up soon so you guys can get a better look at what im looking at thanks for all earlier replies teh truth is better than nothing
