Remote entry

I just bought a used 93 Thunderbird LX, its fully loaded, but it didnt come with a remote, which seems odd, being the car as every other extra thing i can think of. I'm just wondering where in the car can I look for the relay.

I noticed a black box with a bunch of wires going into it, nothing going out, in the trunk, it looks like it might be a relay box, but im not sure.

I know that mine is under my dash above the pedals, however I have an after market Viper system, so I'm not too sure how that applies to stock systems. But it won't hurt to take a look.
