crx fenders

can any one tell me if civic fenders will fit on a crx, heard they do but not to sure, is there any mod needed? or any know of any one selling any crx fenders in or around Houston?

they are different at the edges so i believe, under the corner light its slightly different i think

88/89 interchange as well as 90/91

so the lights the really the only diff? so civic fenders will fit my crx(by the way just got a 91 si body today cause my 88 body was fu*ked up lol,still need the fenders) but still if any one knows of any one selling 91 crx fenders in houston i'd like to buy them or trade.thx

heh I have an 88 civic fender, but its all caved in... someone was not so nice to my car before I baught it.

I once priced out fenders for a 91 CRX and for whatever reason, the CRX fenders were 3 times the price of Civic fenders. The guy quoting the cost was also puzzled that they were not the same (bolts positioned differently??)

u can use the civic fenders on a crx if u use the civic bumper and the filler piece that goes under the headlights on the civics may even have to use the hood as well but not sure about the hoods i think they r the same

im thinking of doing the crx front on my civic if not the sir front-end

ps. dont do it the crx front looks so much better then the civic imo

if you mean that you can't interchange the diff. years of fenders due to the lights you are wrong... you know all you have too do is pop the lil white screw inserts out and put the slide inserts in... or vice versa... it takes likes 2 seconds... hehe i love my 89' fenders on my 90 with the 90 lights :grinyes:

look closer its the same idea but they r not the same the crx is less cutup the civic has more body line inne the front-end

yaeh but from more than three feet away it looks the exact same, just the crx has the extra peice molded in.

CRX bumpers and civic bumpers do not look the same. If you think that, then you do not pay much attention to detail.

if crx and civic bumpers are the same, then 99-00 and 96-98 civic front ends are the same, and the 88-91 USDM and JDM front ends are the same.

so there completely differnt eh? something about the word completely in that, I'm having trouble with.

they arent the same. the fenders do not have the same part number either.

the corner lights angle differently, the gap between the corner light and the bumper is also a different measurement. the CRX fender has that small sideskirt piece at the bottom and the civic one doesnt.

on the bright side, they do bolt up. all you need to do is search on this site, and you will find at least 4 other threads that discuss it, and most of them either were started by me or have parts where i chime in and list the parts needed and the instructions.

so if i use the civic corner lights they will fit like they belong....? yes? cause damn crx fenders are so freakin hard to find here in houston or if not they are like 120+
