looking for muscle

okay, i need an old muscle car for under 1k. I was thinking about a 74 nova because if im right they have a big blopck in them and you dont see many of those where im from. If anyone can help me with the best advice about what old muscle car or under 1k i should get ( i know im cheap) it would be greatly appreciated.

You ain't gonna find much for $1000, these cars would need a body and engine overhaul which I have experienced quite often, (5 times). I suggest saven $3000 and buying yourself a decent one, oh say firebird 455, gto, pre-305 camaro, ford mustang, or a dodge, chrysler which I dont really care for but a charger 426, 440, plymouth barricuda. These are only ones I can think of now. I suggest buying an f-body and rebuilding the engine with a little bit more power, if you get one with a 305 (newer model) swap in a 383 stroker and it'll "fly". (thats what I have) :thumbsup:
