FORD is rediculous.

My 2003 Focus has been giving me some major problems, and we couldnt figure out what it was for 1 week. We were surprised it took us so long. So we take it to ford and they didnt even bother to check out the problem. Instead they wanted to charge me 160$ to replace my after market SPARK PLUGS (general maintenance) and another 300$ to repair a wire. They also said that if i didnt get those things done, they would VOID my warranty. So i said screw it..screw the warranty, im taking my car. so we began fixing the problem..the car was appart for a few days..finally put it back together and started the sucker up..NOTHING. We were completely stuck. We ended up getting the car scanned and found out that there was carbon built up (dont know how on a car so new). Fixed that problem..replaced a NOC sensor and the car was running OKAY. Today i got a check engine light..and it hasnt even been a week since the car was fixed. As of now..i HATE FORD WITH A PASSION. My next choice of a car is the dodge SRT-4. The problem with FORD is that they are too concerned with the quantity and dont pay enough attention to the quality. I guess they really did stick to the "Fix Or Repair Daily" motto. Hey...thats only more money for them. Oh by the way. going back to the 160$ spark plugs...only 32$ of it is for the actual spark plugs...8$ each.. the rest is all labor...hour and a half charge for labor...a monkey could replace spark plugs in 20 minutes MAX. If you got a problem with your FORD, fix it yourself or pay your friend to do it...Screw Ford...dont even bother taking it to them unless you like to give your money away.

Your problem is NOT with Ford. Just a dumbass dealer.

But don't feel so special. Just check around with some Infiniti owners.
Or how about the Mitsi owners that got their warrenty voided just for entering a autocross. People have to cover their plates, just incase their plate ends up in a photo. Mitsi even include a free 1 year membership form to SCCA in the glove box. Now that was a corporate f**k over. Buy a SVT, any SVT and Ford helps set up track time, on a REAL race track. And they don't even void your warrenty.....

With some dealers it's a racket. They may write up the repair as a warrenty and send the bill to Ford AND charge you for the same repair.
Double billing. Problem is, people don't report them or complain. Send a complaint to Ford instead of complaining here......

try a new dealer as forddesigner said. although since they arent factory spark plugs YOU get the bill because they dont cover aftermarkets in their warrenty. you shouldve cheked into the spark plugs before you got em, tried to find other people that have em and see if they have had any problems. if you got carbon build up that fast, check for any leaks of any kind, and of bad wiring.

your also going to have worse problems with the dodge than you have had with the ford :D.

Yes, this is why so many people blame Ford Motor Company. Take it to a real Ford Dealer. Or, a private mechanic. The Ford Focus is one of the best cars on the road right now. Great price for a great car.
