I don't know much about drugs, but is cannibis the same as marijauna(SP)??

i always have to question the results of these kinds of studies. they just ask random people if they get high? if some scientist or government official or whoever randomly approached me and asked if i like to get high, i'd probably lie and say no. it doesn't seem smart to divulge that kind of information to just anybody. Maybe people in the US/UK have more common sense than the aussies.

OMFG!!!! you are my hero man, that is my EXACT fuckin thought. Im US, 16, and i toke it up usually weekly and i dont care who knows it. I believe in it, and people who bash it without knowing it are fools. It is so misunderstood and all this nazi propaganda you see on tv's about it is exaggerated or only shows half the story. And we've seen how benifical it is for our social wellness. Yes, I've tried it. No, I don't like it. its stuipd, and legalizing it the worst idea. I say, bigger punishment for dealing it and using it. Drive as far down as possible. Drugs are the bane of our culture.

If someone goes ahead and has a joint or two at a concert, sweet, go ahead, hell, it smells better than cigarettes anyways. It's the people that smoke a whole ounce in one go to get completely catatonic that piss me off. But hey, people drink like that, so why not? People who've had a joint or two and are not totally fucked up are a lot more pleasant than some drunks to be around. Legalise it, or at the least, decriminalise it, but restrict its distribution (ala cigarettes & alcohol).

The fact of the matter is, use or abuse, people make poor decision under the influence, beer or otherwise. should it refect poorly on the drug if someone crashes and kills someone in a car, YES!!!! How many times do hear on the news some guy, who at any other time is a perfect driver, get flat waisted and kill someone in a car wreck. do the poilce say "Well we shouldn't think badly of the booze 'cause it says here on the bottle that you shouldn't operate machinery." In my opinion,

Cannabis is dangerous if:
- associated with cigarets. It increases the power of bad stuff like nicotine, .... Smoking a joint makes 10 times more damage to your lung than a simple cigaret. My solution: less tabacco , more C
- you drive fully stoned. You don't have the same reactions, you don't see the road very well, your brain is not concentrated on driving. I know, one of my best friend died in a bike crash and I'm sure he had smoked before leaving his house.
- you stay glued in your armchair only watching Tv, smoking, eating, watching TV, smoking,... over and over and over. If you can't do anything concrete because you smoked, stop it.
- you need to smoke. Understand, you always want to roll and go out smoking. Cannabis is not physically adictive but mentaly adictive. It becomes a kind of habit to smoke a joint and when this habit is well instaled, it's hard to change.

There are still other points I'm not thinking to at this moment. It's my '11 years smoking experience', don't be confused, I don't say I'm proud of it but I've learned a lot of things. It's just my personal statement.

Cannabis can be enjoyable and recreative if:
- taken as a pleasure. You smoke like you eat chocolate. You take a cup of coffee and a chocolate bar, you have worked hard all day long and you smoke your joint back home.
- you smoke with friends outside during a Bbq and your wives are talking together. It's a kind of social link between you and other people.

Years ago when I entered the Army, as I was leaving town on a bus a friend of mine was standing on the corner leaning on the lamp post. His hands were in his pockets...cigarette hanging out his mouth....scruffy....stoned.
