covering my dashboard

I want to cover my dashboard in suede but what do you do when there are cracks in the dash. I own a Nissan 240SX and they are notorious for having spider web cracks over the drivers side, right over the cluster gauge. What do you guys recemend. Is there any way I can fix the cracks then cover it, or should I look for a dash with no cracks and cover that?

I would think you could get some kind of plastic glue and then scrape it with like a razor so its smooth and then cover that.

Super glue and lots of it , apply thin amounts at a time then over fill the cracks with it and sand it down with 500 gritt sand paper till its even with the rest of the dash then glue in the suede.
