I'm a newbie to tegs and I was curious about halo bulbs. Friend of mine told me that when he intsalled his new 80w/100w plazma xenon bulbs that they got so hot in his headlights that it melted the headlight wiring harness. Just curious to know if anyone else had this problem and what the solutions were. Thanks.

I had that problem with my first set of bulbs but when those blew I purchased some new ones and dont have that problem anymore, it all depends on what you get.

Sylvania Cool Blue is DOT approved and won't melt your wires. Or HID for $450. :D

I've run 80w bulbs for three years now with no problems.

cool. Thanks. It seems as though some people just get lucky and don't have problems with their harness melting or "softening" I'm still considering buying a heavy duty harness for aroun 30 bucks just to make sure that nothing goes wrong.
