Clutch and Flywheel

Looking to upgrade my clutch and flywheel real soon i dont really want a super stiff clutch and want to still keep it as light and closests to stock feeling as possible. Been thinking about getting an act 2100 and fidanza flywheel combo but im not sure if 330 ft-lbs of torque would be enough for my planed mods. What do you think i should get?? I want to get it up to around 400 whp in my fwd talon tsi but dont want to go as harsh as say an act 2600 what do you think i should get are there any other brands that arent as harsh engaging as this would probably be and with less pedal effort than a act 2600 or would this be the best clutch i should get for my car??? :uhoh: Some feedback would be much appreciated. Depends on the tires. With a FWD odds are even with a 2100 the weakest link will still be traction. With that much power and the traction of AWD, life sucks with a 2100. I have also heard though that the 2600 takes the abuse of the slippage required with a FWD better than the 2100. They use the same disc, so I'm not sure it can be that much better. I dunno, never owned a FWD DSM. Hope it gives you something to think about at least :)

i would recommend getting a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch kit...i recently got one for my GST Spyder and i LOVE it...the clutch isn't stiff at all. has almost the exact pedal pressure as stock. instantly engages and goes :) and they can take a beating. i love mine

Whats the rating on that centerforce clutch like how much hp and eveything could it hold. Whats its specs. Will it hold up better than a act 2100 or 2600??? Also what sort of mods are done to ur car if any??

ahh... the classic 'i want to make power like crazy but i want it to operate like stock'

for heavy punishment get a 2600. if you are going to need a new one by the time you get all tuned to 400whp then get the 2100 for now.

oh and you don't need a new flywheel unless you are autocrossing. just get the one you got machined down a bit ;)
