535i Alpina chip in a 735i?

I have a friend who repaired his dads Alpina 535i computer, and made a spare copy of the chip while he was doing it.

What I was wondering is if this chip will go straight into the 735i (I assume the engines, computers etc are the same) and if it will - what benefits will I get - if any? Is this a quick and dirty way to get a few more horses or am I opening an ugly can of worms?

if the years are the same, it's the 'same' chip. IF the chip is good, IT's REAL quick and dirty.
