Jammed door lock

The passenger door on my 85 Cougar will not unlock with the power switch, the key will not turn in the keyhole and the door will not open with the inside handle. How do I remove the door panel to get to the lock mechanism? The only screw I see (after looking at the other door) is inaccessable. HELP!!!

well first you have to get the door open.

You may have to take it to a body shop to get it unlocked with a slimjim that slides down beside the window and catches the lock linkage.

there are hidden plastic clips under the panel around the edge of the door. a special tool is available for this but a thin nail puller will also work if you are carefull
