Look guys,
I did my search and no one has every done a how to on Tachometer. I just install one in my civic but I don't know how to use it. I have a 5" spw tach with turn knob for light. Should I set the knob for 3 so the light will come on when I am going over 80 mph? Or should I set it to 5 which it's hard for my car to rev up to?

You should set it up at what you feel comfortable shifting at. I set mine to 5 so I know where I can rev it to at the most, but I rarely get to that unless I'm having a bad day and beat on my car. I usually end up shifting at 3200 for daily driving and highway to save on gas, and I don't like seeing the light come on all the time (I've gotten use to the sound of the motor to let me know when to shift). But if you don't want to rev very high then you should probably set it at 3000 to 3500.

Well I forgot to tell you that I have AT instead of stick. So did I waste my money. Is there a need for Tach on AT?

Yeah you should return it if you can or sell it, there's no need for one.

Oh my gawd! :) Sorry but to have a tach in a car that is an automatic is like putting.... nevermind.
