Ill tell you what. I was just out looking at 2 300zx. And those cars are only worth anything if the body is in emaculate condition, in if theres no rust. And i think thats still a little high priced. Theres a mechanic owned 300zx NA over here like 93 and hes asking 5k for it.

Sounds good to me... take caution with that seal leak though... everything else is just minor detail...

Depends on where the turbo line has the leak. If its something easy like the feed lines to the oil cooler thats fine, probably twenty minutes under the car to fix. If its something more along the lines of a leak from the oil return line under the turbo...well thats a little more complicated but still fairly simple. Its not engine threatening, probably the biggest problem there is having to put in more oil and having it leak all over your engine (Unless you plan to whip on the car, in which case that oil seal should be tight as a drum. Also if you plan to upgrade the Z to whipith on it more, I suggest you win the lottery). 12k sounds like a reasonable price, especially since the rest of the car seems to be in great condition from the pictures, including a very clean looking tan leather interior.
(I'm assuming this (http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=164098275&dealer_id=&car_year=1996&make=NISSAN&distance=any&max_price=15000&model=300ZXTURBO&advcd_on=n&end_year=1996&min_price=000000&certified=n&address=98047&search_type=used&advanced=n&start_year=1996&color=&cardist=1922) is the car you are refering to).
Decent body kit even, most look like ass, even if the bumper sticks out too far on the sides when you look at it from the front. If you want to replace that I suggest a OEM 99' JDM front bumper, they look badass. And IMO, keep the stock wing, most aftermarket ones look like a damn radar antenna (Like this dipshit) (http://images.autotrader.com/images/2004/8/14/166/314/976463914.166314889.IM1.MAIN.240x180_A.240x160.jpg ).
Bottom line: Seems like a pretty good deal. Just check it over as best you can and make sure its exactly what you want before dropping cash on it.

that seems about the right price. like broke said, the oil leak SHOULDN'T be too major. and if it is the car that broke posted, then i would definitely think about getting it.

it sounds like a good deal just becarefull! don't believe everything the owner says.if you have acces to the car, drive it and take it to a mechanic and try to get and estimate on how much your gonna spent. obesly the owner didn't fixed the turbo leak cause its to expensive. if it wasn't expensive the owner would of fix the turbo leak issue and sell the car for about $2000 more.
thats what i would of done if it was my car

I thought your anti-drug was crack.
Anyway, that brings up a good point. I think of things as I can do them, in this case, the oil leak is a inferior opponent who would be crushed under the crushing weight of my crushing automotive repair power. Others may have to turn to outside sources. However, I can't imagine that it would run more than a few hundred dollars provided its nothing more than a gasket or hose leak. If the turbo is cracked or some crazy crap like that then you can kiss affordablity good bye. But it sounds like a small problem to me. But then again, I'm a total gimp.
