steering and swerving problems

sometimes when im driving at the road is bad or kinda wavy an uneven my tires will turn suddenly or something my steering wheel will shift to the left or right pretty good...what is this and what can i do to fix it?...alignment?...by the way im riding on 17 inch kumhos 205/40/zr17 with enkei cdr9's if that makes a difference

Yes, first you need to have your alignment checked. Make sure you get a printout of the alingment specs before and after, and save that for possible reference in future replies to this thread. Also check that your tire pressures are identical from right to left on each axle, and are you having any directional instability under braking?

It's pretty normal with larger wheel/tire packages. The wider contact patch will catch uneven things on the road. But yes make sure you get an alignment at least once a year or every two years. And then make sure pressures are event at every corner.

if ur car is lowered then make sure u have a camber kit on there!! make sure ur toe-in is correct too

My guess would be the toe is a bit out, but its hard to tell. Wider tires will tend to want to follow grooves in the pavement more, as well a bumps, but your tires aren't all that wide. Get an alignment.

You don't need a camber kit unless you are dropped more than 1.8"

Do you need a camber if you have a 1.8" drop exactly..i do...sportlines

First check the alignment...i had the same problem with mine about the swerving and all and i got an alignment and it helped it out alot.:)
