88 integra auto transmission problem

88 integra autotransmission i have a problem when shifting the transmission goes into reverse fine and then when i go to d4 or d3 it doesnt go into gear then in drive 2 it works then when you shift up from d2 to d3 and d4 it works fine till you come to a stop then you have to do all over again any help will be appreciated thanks

Sounds like internal tranny components are worn out.
The tranny should be disasembled, while youre there you can use the occasion to change any piece that show alot of wear, specially ify ou drive hard
