I need tune up and cylinder compression spec's
on F22 and F23 engine .
BTW
Got the Harbor Fright $10 compression tester .
Garbage ! It doesn't use the bourbon( spell?) tube
that the expensive gages use .
I got their tire 'flator , and it's gage went to 140 psi
so i moded it to 190 , added the marks and calibrated
it with a small camp stove propane bottle .
I now have a $200 comp' gage .
Soak the propane bottle at a known temp for at least
an hour . It's surprizing how much more accurate
your gage will be than your buddies expensive gage !
I also add a one-way at the very tip that goes into the
spark plug hole ( improves accuracy a bit) . But don't make it
dissassemble from the engine side or maybe the parts will
fall inside the engine . Mine disassembles to the gage side
so if it loosens and comes apart , it will be captive in the
fitting that goes into the spark plug hole .
Iso-Butane and Propane mix are used to replace R12 but
the penalty is $10,000 . Use pure P' but pressure is 50psi
higher .
( Governer wants to protect his crony's patent on 134a)
on F22 and F23 engine .
