A hearty WELCOME ABOARD to all new members to this forum particularly if they're from TS (or anywhere, for that matter). One of the best things and biggest strengths of any forum is the sharing of knowledge for the benefit of everyone, and at the same time, at no cost to anyone. And what the heck, you might even meet a new friend or two or three in the process!
I've found that this Tundra forum has got a lot of cool people in it, but it's fairly new, so we all need to help "stock up the library" with the things we've learned or any items we've added to our trucks and how they're performing (K & N filters, lift kits, stereos, etc.).
Please tell us about yourself, your Tundra, and anything that you've experienced with your truck lately. If you want to dump intelligence in it's own thread, I suggest you title the thread "Handy Hint #__; (subject matter). We started this cataloging of technical information a couple of days ago, and think it will make it real easy for everyone to find Tundra modifications and/or technical stuff.
So please get involved and help build up the library for everyone's benefit. And thanks in advance for anything you can share with us all. WELCOME ABOARD!!!!!!!

Listen here Freeballer,
If you hate TS so much that you want everyone to come over here instead, why don't you just shut up and put your money where your mouth is.
You anti-TS'ers keep talking about free vs. pay sites, and how TS is the greedy corporate profit machine.
Why don't you start your own site, WITH YOUR OWN MONEY. Maybe CJ, DogFeet and some of those other morons will pitch in. That way, you wouldn't have to sponge off of Automotive Forums.
Put your money where your mouf is, wise guy.

Just a response to the previous two posts heckling my welcome to TS members;
First off, why the negativity on being cordial and welcoming new folks? What's with that?
1. As much as lawyers love to get involved with about everything, there's absolutely no legal issue (read it.........zero, zilch, nada) involved with sharing lessons you've learned, in your own words, about your Tundra. It's known as the first amendment to our Constitution, as long as what you post isn't per bateum copyrighted information.
Perhaps someone's reading between the lines when they shouldn't be. This forum can be much, much more than a "chat" room and should be. That is, unless anyone is out to discourage members from posting their lessons learned due to ulterior motives (like, pumping up another website).
2. I'm not interested in starting my own website. Haven't got the time and by the way, THIS website works just fine, thank you. And if anyone would like to know my personal reasons for not becoming a TS supporter (paid), and instead, spending more of my free time over here and helping these good folks add information to their website, then email or pm me and I'll gladly explain my experiences. It would be totally uncool of me to bash members or moderators or owners of either site in a public forum. I won't do that here and I hope everyone else will try to follow suit and treat each other with equal respect and courtesy.
Nuff said on that. I realize ya can't please everybody and am not going to try. Everybody have a great day, do something worthwhile and make someone smile....... :flash:

OneTime: You need to get your facts straight before you blanket accuse someone like me in your last post. Do your research first. I never accused TS of being a greedy profit machine. In fact, if you bothered yourself to look at my status, and as I have stated multiple times in the past, I have paid the dues. As I said before, it is not about the money. You will never get that and that is fine with me. I have dropped the issue. I have told Lon, I will never bring the issue up again on his website - despite the fact that others continue to do so. I have respect for what Lon is trying to do, I just happen to disagree with him. How come you can't understand that? There is no personal vendetta against Lon or any of you moderators. Some people had some suggestions, and in my opinion, some decent ones, and there was absolutely no response other than this is the way it has to be. I think all people were looking for was some sort of response that said, look this is the only way it will work. At this point, all of that is water under the bridge. I have buried the hatchet. It appears that Freedivr2 has as well. Do I need to make some public apology somewhere to get you guys to stop all of this? What is it that keeps you guys going? Please explain.
MustangSally: You completely misinterpreted Freedivr's quote. I can't speak for him, but when we came over here, we thought it might not be a bad idea to have another forum in which to speak about Tundras. What is wrong with that? There is only so much information to talk about regarding a truck and if you think that we can only talk about information that hasn't been discussed on TS on this board you are mistaken. I respect Lon's copyright issues and I have no intention of simply copying information from his site and I have not done so to date. However, if I have performed a mod on my truck, I believe I am entitled to describe the process in which I personally went through. That is exactly what I have done. Now, you can go ahead and take this to your High School teacher and ask them about plagerism. When they are finished, I will invite you and your high school teacher to visit any of a number of professors in a masters level program that will be willing to dispute your case.
And, by the way, does this mean that TS needs to go through its own website and clean out any information that may have come from another website? Because I know for a fact that that exists as well. And some of that information is in fact copied straight across.
Again, we've dropped this issue. Any negative response we've had on here is a response to you guys. You guys are bringing this up. Please explain why this is still an issue for you. I am more than willing to discuss it further in private or in forum to clear the air - I have a feeling you won't want to go for that though.

I am unclear as to what the legal issue is here, because as far as I can see there is none.
No one is spongeing off of Automotiveforums.com we accept everyone here (that has a good attitude and obeys the simple rules). You, however are seemingly here to cause nothing but trouble. So I suggest that if you have some legal issue, you explain it... and if you dont like it here... don't let the door hit you in the ass. But I'm sure as hell not gonna let you come in here and cause trouble for people who are just trying to share tech info and meet other Tundra fanatics.
That is all...
