I just replaced my starter. Worked great for about oh say 50 miles. then today i got the same thing again. turn the key, the lights come on the dashboard, but it won't turn over, No starting sounds. nothing. How can i check the selinoid to see if it is the problem? Or could it be a ground problem?

the solenoid is built into the starter. if you replaced with an new starter then your solenoid is new too. as for ground problems...thats unlikely because you bolt it to the tranny which is grounded. you might want to check the wire from the ignition switch it could be loose or not making proper contact(dirty). you can test the starter if its out using jumper cables and a small wire. and you'll know if its the starter or something else.

I figured it out. The wire running from the solenoid was burned out. Simple replacement with a stock wire fixed it.
