I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers. I just bought a '99 Trans Am. I'm going to have it completely rebuilt since it has a few miles, but while it's out I want to have it stroked, probably with the Lunati kit. Has anyone had this done? I'm a student so I really don't have the time to be without a car or I'd do it myself. SO, if anyone knows of a shop that has experience in this work, please let me know. I need someone who knows more than me so it won't take forever :) I figure any quality engine rebuild shop could probably pull it off, but maybe not. Are there any computer issues when upgrading the CID, or any other problems to look for? This place http://www.moreperformanceinc.com/ls1_383.htm charges $14,000 for this job, but that sounds a little outrageous, considering a brand new ls1 only costs around $6100 http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=107140&prmenbr=361. Hopefully this can be done for less than $8000.
