Wiper and starting trouble

Here is what has been done to cure my starting troubles, fuel pump replaced, gas filter changed, tune-up that included new plug wires.
Still doesn't start right without pressing on the accelerator a little, and sometimes it still is real slow, like 15 seconds or so to start. What else can I have done to make it start like it once did?
Second problem is the front windshield wipers: I can turn them on and sometimes they work fine and sometimes not at all and sometimes they just quit working when they are not supposed to quit. I have used some very strong language and some pretty fancy names on them but they pay me no heed. I certainly hope there is someone that has some answers that can help me. This is a 94 Safari with less than 70K trouble free miles on it. Thanks to all

The recall dealt with many GMC/Chevy Astros and Safaris. My wiper troubles went away with the new motor.
the circuit board has connectors inside that break, and then the thing works intermittently.
good luck
