Fixing A Cracked Rim??

hey one of my 17inch rims has a hairline crack on the inside. the mechanic said that because of this he cannot put a tubeless tire because it wont hold air. he said there was ways to fix it, but he never said how because he cant speak english that well.

any way to do this???

There are some companies that claim they can repair alloy wheels. You could check with some local body shops to see where they send wheels out to for repair. Also check some of the ads in Autoweek, Car and Driver etc...

i could be totally wrong, and someone might want to correct me on it, but what about getting it welded up?

my mate brought a car with a cracked wheel and im pretty certain it was welded, but im in aus and the rules on things like such may be a little different :)
