Sup guys, My check engine light came on today on the way to work. I started to hesitate when I put the gas down, so I turned around and made it home. It doesn't sound healthy, It was still running when I left but I'm doubtful it will be when I return home. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be? Fuel pump? Like I said it hesitates and sputters. It's at home and I have tools and a bit of knowledge. Any information would help. Thanks-Ras

Because you drive a 96, most auto stores will read the code for you. The code is stored in the ecu, so even if the light isn't on at the time, they can still read it. So if you live close to an auto store, get them to check it so you get an idea of what is wrong.

P0108 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input. I have it at the shop now and they want to run another test, $65.00. Are these codes pretty specific? How hard could this be to fix? Just trying to get some info. before the shop rips me off ;)

I couldn't tell you on a 96, I've never really worked on one from that generation. It sounds like it almost might be a sensor of some kind, but I don't know.

Well, I gave it to the shop, they checked it out on there computer, test drove it and said there was nothing wrong. They reset my check engine light and I've driven it about a hundred miles w/ no problem. I;m a bit skeptical, but yah gotta love honda's! I always like when my car fixes itself! Thanks for the info though
