I currently own a 94' 3000gt base.... ive installed a:
injen cold air intake
Borla Exhaust
3sx downpipe
unorthodox racing pulley's
and a race pipe
Anyways today i installed the race pipe and removed the CAT.... my whole exhaust now sounds quieter than stock!!! im like wtf!!! .... does anyone know what are the advantages of the race pipe and the disadvantages.... I thought when i put it on it would sound LOUDER but i guess not! who thinks i should replace the CAT or keep it off?

A racepipe should offer only advantages, no disadvantages unless you count adding to global warming as a disadvantage...but as far as performance it should only help.
Well it should have gotten louder, the only thought that comes to mind is that with the downpipe, borla catback and racepipe you may have opened up your exhaust a bit too much and lost some low-end torque. Being that you have an N/A(naturally aspired) car. What diameter are the catback and race pipe?
