I have an '86 Buick Somerset, and the signal lights crapped out on me. The hazard lights still work...the signal lights started acting funny, they would speed up, then they slowed down, got slower and slower then they just stopped working. I have to do it manually! I was wondering if it was a fuse i have to replace, but I'm not sure which fuse is for the signal lights...all the fuses have short forms so I don't know. I know a little about cars, but not a whole lot. If someone could help me out, in the simplest of terms, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Sounds like the flasher can went bad.
Should be somewhere around the fuse block.
There will be two silver relay cans. One will click when you turn on the hazards-put your finger on it to be sure-you will feel it working.
The other silver can is your turn signal relay. If you don't hear/feel it working when the signals are on-pull it out and get a new one. They're dirt cheap and available everywhere. Check all your t/s bulbs, too as a shorted bulb/socket puts a helluva load on the flasher and burns it out quicker.
