Where is it located? I have an 95 aurora. Part# 25646510. I've had problems with my dic in the past, and was told by an electrician that a new bcm would fix my problems. Thanks for the help.

It's under the right side of the Instrument Panel, near the rear of the Instrument panel compartment

It stores various codes for the display - mostly to do with door locks, seat belts and stuff like that.

Interesting, I looked in my manual and found nothing that refers to a BCM. I assume you need to remove the lower hush panel under the steering wheel?

Ok.....why do you need codes for door locks and seat belts?

Try driving off with a door open and you'll see a warning message on the DIC. It also controls the warning lights for seat belts etc.

It's in the 1998 manual under the body and accessories section.
Perhaps they added it since 1996.5 ?

I think it's on the passenger side, but I'm not sure how you get to it.
