carburator

in my 1982 camaro i have a rochester 4 barrel quadrajet carb. can u tell me how to adjust the air mixture screws. thank you

quadrajunks are a bastard to tune. there's 2 mixture screws at the base of the carb.

i tune a carb by turning both mixture screws counter clockwise untill the highest rpm is reached. then turn one at a time clockwise untill the engine just starts to stutter, then turn the screw counter clockwise again 1/2 - 1 turn.

there's a lot of different methods that people use. just make sure the engine is completely warmed up, and the primary choke butterfly is open.
