transmission question?

I test drove a 93 rx7 earlier and everything seem great only it kind of grind in fifth gear and the owner told me that its very normal and common on rx7 transmission. It have 100k miles on it. I'm very new to the rx7.

not common that I know off... but I'm not an expert on FD's

I do know that its not good for it to grind going into any gear... needs to be fixed

yes its normal and common, 3rd gen trannys sucks, but you can get a freshly rebuilt unit for ~500$
