exaust take off!

Need help , planing on taking off my exhaust system on my 87 for more power. what else would i do to it when i take it off i mean i cant just take it off and thats it can i, Or could i put like a tip on the part that discanects?

its not a good idea to play with your exhaust if its an 87 trust me i bet every single bolt on your exhaust starting from your exhuast manifold all the way down to the back of the car is seized and rusted horribly you will probly try to get a bunch of bolts out and you will break three bolts in a row and walk away if you are serious about taking your exhaust apart you will need to buy an easy out drill bit and start taking broken bolts of that way and getting new bolts from i dont know where and replacing them not to mention after all that you probly wont even know why you messed with it in the first place

just get a high performance muffler...pretty cheap

buy a cat-back and header...i did on my 93, and it works well. correct me if i'm wrong, but you have a AE86 meaning there's butt-loads of JDM stuff for your car. anyways, if you have access to it, you'll need an impact wrench and good drill bit or an air grinder to cut the old exhaust off. i had to do that on mine. time consuming, but it gets the job done

I'm also going to change the exhaust on my 86, let me know how it goes. I was just going to go the easy way and get a whole aftermarket exhaust.

I'm fitting a Rage performance zaust (5" straight cut) to my EE90-AGM-S (G plate corolla hatchbk 1.3) should sound like a beast!!
