Hi,
I have a 95 S-10 5 speed.
A few days ago when the rain started constantly my truck wont start. It almost never happens when its hot outside but when it rains it will somtimes not start.
What happens is sometimes tha lights for example gauges, air bag warning, brake, etc are supposed to turn on when you turn the key to on.
But now they wont turn on at all so the car wont start.
It turns over perfectly. i even checked the spark plugs and they were fine. The checked the battery terminals and cleaned them, also i fully charged the battery. Everything else works, radio, head lights, etc. I checked the fuse panel and none of them are blown.
When i turn it on, i can see the oil and volt gauge sorta move but not fully.
And i get hear a click noise coming from the engine. I tried moving the wiring harness from where i hear the click to see if the gauges come back on, but i have had no succes.
Please help me ASAP. I start a new job monday!
Thanks

How old is your battery?, engine start for this truck need a lot of power to run (almost 34 Amp) even if you see 12 to 14 volts at gauge, you can know the age of your battery reading a code print over the case some brand uses a letter from A to L for months and two digits for year; if you uses your truck for littles rides and severals starts daily itīs common the batery blowns due an excess of discharges and no enough time to reset, try to start your truck aided for cables passtrough and another car, if starts runs for a 5 minutes then come off and try to start again no aided, if not starts probably your problem is the battery; at last you can check your battery for density of solution, cell by cell or (be extremly careful) check if in any cell are bubbles when carge is demanding; Danger for explosion, burns are expected if you donīt have safety conditions; i think is better change for a new one if your battery is more than 18 months older. P.S do you really has an Honda Civic?

This sounds like a ignition problem to me not a battery if it's cranking over like it was.You could check for spark at the plugs and then at the coil for 12 VDC with the switch on.
You say it happens when it's wet out, open the dist. cap (where all the spark plug wires are) and check for condensation inside the cap.
