Child Door Lock

Hello. I have a 2000 S80 T6. My left rear door would open from the outside but not from the inside. I am sure that the linkage had failed somewhere inside the door. Upon inspection of the door (my wife) :)engaged the manual child lock that is in the door jam. After she closed the door she realized what she had done. Now we can't get the door open from either direction. To remove the door panel the door has to be opened for internal repair. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to override the door locking system. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
