Since i havent got my liscence yet i was thinking of some ideas for a lawn mower that does burnouts.I'm aquiring a used mower soon and i'm also learning how to weld soon too.So anyone out there have any ideas how to;1. get the tire(s) in contact with a surface.2.create control for the rpm.3.create some sort of tranmisson for it.4.carb upgardes.
bear in mind this is a push along mower.Thanx.

umm...
push about mowers don't have power going to the wheels.
hence why you PUSH them.
so you'd need to completely create some sort of drivetrain to the wheels.
why not just get a riding mower? a lawn tractor or something to that effect.

Just take the engine out and build a go-cart. Why make waste your time building a push lawn mower that can do burnouts? It will just throw pieces of the ground all over your legs.

me and my mate have been trying to think up some ways in which we could aquire some cheap machinary which we could do burnouts.some ideas were twin 800cc motorbike engines in a small custom chassis.ride on mower racing.$$$ is the No.1 consern.any ideas would be great.my immedant future aspirations are to go down to my local strip and enter the burnout comps.

I'm waiting to see an article in the newspaper about a boy who sliced off his legs while trying to do burnouts as he was standing behind a push lawnmower.

.
yes some push mowers have power going to the wheels they have front wheel and rwd model if you want to do a burnout with a fwd model just lean back on the handle till the front wheels are barley on the ground.it wont make any smoke or any noise but it will give the effect of a burnout..
on the riding mowers at work(skags)we can do burnouts all day and when the grounds gets wet we can do powerslides

This thread starter sounds like this little twit at my school named alex. Alex will buy anything if you tell him it's worth something. We recieved something at school that had rubber bands on it, I convinced him that mine was better than his, and I got a dollar for my free, identical rubber band. The kid really has issues.
