turbo help

i was wondering if anybody knows if it's possible to pass an emissions test with a turbo kit on your car.

Usually yes, but you need to give more info.....
Where are you from? What kind of car? What turbo car? What other mods? Any CELs?

could you jsut cut your exhaust and put another cat on?

or just turn the boost down?

i live in Illinois and i have a 98 prelude with a rev hard turbo kit t03/t04 turbo, greddy evo cat-back exhaust, obx high flow cat, dc headers and an aem v2 cold air intake. i haven't installed the turbo yet, that's why i'm wondering if it will pass because i'm not sure if i'll have to take emissions soon

Pass your car w/ the DC and AEM and cat before you put the turbo on. Im not sure the smog laws in Illinois, however in california, if you turbo the car, it wont pass visual here. Unless it is a Carb Legal kit, like the Greddy, or edelbrock and your carb stickers are for the correct car.

If your state doesnt worry about visual inspection, then yeah it is possible to pass a turbo car, you just need to have a cat. My friend passed in colorado w/ his turbo kit. Just make sure you drive it hard before ya get to the emissions shop to heat up that cat :)
