Code 12 Problems - EGR System

Hi Guys!
New to the board and need some expert advice. Here's the deal:
Just bought a 91 CRX HF and the Check Engine light turned on (returning a Code 12 through the ECU) before I could get it smogged. I need to have this car pass smog as I want to get this registered.
Here's what I have done so far but to no avail.
1. Changed O2 sensor (front)
2. Used Seafoam, similar to GM Top Engine Cleaner (through brakeline) to flush out carbon deposits. Car has more compression/power! but didn't solve the Code 12 issue.
3. Cleaned out air intake valve.
4. Repaced EGR valve.
Any ideas on what else I should look at (as I'm at a loss)? What other parts in the EGR system commonly go 'bad' after a period of time that I maybe should replace? MAP Sensor? EGR Solenoid Valve? Cat converter? Any ideas are welcome. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

Did you reset the ECU? Pull red "hazard" 10a fuse from under hood fuse box for 10 seconds and replace or just remove negative terminal of battery terminal. Drive around for awhile and see if the code comes back.

Thanks turtlecrxsi!
I might not be resetting the ECU correctly (although I have tried) and the light does come on (after, lets say, 30 mins of driving).
I reset the ECU many times (by pulling out the fuse). I've read somewhere on this board that it is recommended that the ECU be reset only WHEN the car is already warmed up? Is this necessarily true? I've been resetting the ECU when the car is cold (and then warming it up). I still get the Code 12 error. Any other ideas?
Thanks again!

you might check the EGR passage in the head.
