Would you pay for this?

Alright, I have been working on a site that has not been created for the 3000GT/Stealth community yet. I am not breaking the advertising rule because I am not posting a link. My question is this, if a fee for a membership account was required, would you pay?
The site will offer...
Classifieds section - Post items for the 3s platform for sale, with pictures, description, and other available
Largest tutorial database for 3s platform on the internet
Membership page, displaying your info, pictures, and any way you want to customize it
A discount on all items sold in the shop
Those are the features that would be available to members who pay for an account. Of course there would be stuff for the people who did not pay for an account as well. I would just like to know if you would pay for this and how much. I was thinking maybe a year membership for 12$ or so, which seems like a fair price. Please let me know.

I wouldn't. With 3si.org, stealth316.com, team3s.com and of course AF all being free (except the members only area of 3si), I don't think another dedicated board will do very well.
As a side note - the moderators (like me) will let you know if you're breaking any advertising rules so you don't have to prefix your posts with what you are not doing ;)

How much would the fee be? Monthly payment? Annual payment? But more than likely, no, I wouldn't pay for a membership.

Don't know about that. My first reaction would be: no, I wouldn't pay for that. But it would also depend on what you were selling. But, if like Knight said: you were giving the lowest prices, etc... then maybe.

Well I was just wondering. I was considering doing like a silver and platinum type membership thing. Silver is free and has access to forums and some parts of the site. then maybe 5-10$ a year for a Plat membership to access a large database of tutorials, a custom member page, etc. Just thinking up ideas.

Well I think it is a great idea in theory, but that is a HELL of alot of stuff to offer, alot of which has already been provided as others have mentioned in differing sites.
-3si.org has a classified section
-stealth316.com has the largest tutorial I have seen, and it would be pretty damn hard to beat without plagarizing everything
-membership pages are all over, 3kgt.org, 3sxperformance.com, you can post your pics and sigs here, or on cardomain.com
-and the shop...there are already plenty of dedicated 3/S stores out there, some of which run by members of this board or 3si, competition would be pretty steep, being that the number of 3/S customers isn't as large as say honda civic customers. It would be pretty difficult to outdo some of the other 3/S stores who have shown so much support over the years and at the 3/S national gatherings, plus many of them already give member discounts.
So like I said...in theory it is a great idea, and more 3/S sites is always a good thing, but I don't know how many would be willing to pay for stuff that is already available to them for free or in sites they already have paid memberships for. But like I said, cool idea...keep us posted
