No start at air temp. below 70 degrees F

'91 Taurus Wagon 3.0
Lately, I've had starting problems early in the morning at temperatures below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, when the engine or the air is still cool. Actually, the engine starts when I race the engine, but stalls when I release the pedal. I have to race it for several minutes before I car drive. If I start driving to soon, the engine stalls when I stop for a red light.
BUT:If I'm up a little later in the morning and the sun has warmed up the car(or engine?)or the air, it starts and runs just fine.
When the engine is hot OR the air is hot ....no problems.
No trouble codes. No "check engine" light.
The mechanics at my car shop have not been able to find what causes this. Do anyone?

Have the air and coolant temperature sensors been checked? I would also be looking at the distributor cap and plug wires. The IAC may also be at fault. Would think some of these would generate a CEL or problem code. The only ones that wouldn't are the distributor cap and wires. Good luck. Post back if you find and when you find it.
