Well I put on my dejon tool upper intercooler "L" pipe with a 1g bov today. I noticed that when I went for a test drive that the car was sputtering like hell when I started to go under boost, and it felt like it was bogging really bad as well. I took it home and looked at everything and when I revved it up and the rpms started coming back down I noticed a horribly loud high-pitched whistle coming from the coupler that connects the intercooler to the pipe. I know it's a boost leak, and I believe I remember reading somewhere that the coupler Dejon sends you isn't long enough (it's only 3" long!). I tightened that shit down as much as I could, and it was STILL squeeling. The only weird part is that the whistle only happens as the rpms start dropping AFTER I rev the engine, not AS it revs :eek7: . I went to Autozone and Lowes to look for a longer coupler, but they didn't have shit. I'm going by Napa tomorrow to get some t-bolt clamps and try those with the Dejon coupler. Should this work or will I be forced to find a longer coupler? Thanks

they've got couplers at my autozone. they're in the rice section with the bootleg air filters and intakes.
they've also got some reducers. maybe you should try another autozone?
try ebay?

i need some for my uicp that i just got today. i was hoping for some red ones, but my autozone only has black. bleh.

Yea man i know exactly what you are talking about....like when you let the rpms drope, and you hold at a certain level...its this really annoying ass sound....if you fix let me know how you did it... I dont think its the coupler though....are you talking about the one that conects the smic?

It's definitely coming from the coupler that connects to the SMIC. I know because I held my ear right there and revved the engine up, and trust me it was definitely coming from right there -- ears bleeding :) I'm going to go get some t-bolt clamps today from Napa and try those. If that doesn't work then I guess I'll just have to keep looking for a longer coupler! I'll keep you updated :)

Mine leaked like crazy also but i just switched the couplers around because my leak was between the L and S pipe. Took me an hr to get the pipes stuffed up in there good enough that when i tightened it down it actually held instead of slipping out, no more leak but a pain in the ass!
