You should'v used a 350 block instead..
But here are some suggestions!
CompCams enRGy cam, edelbrock intake mani, new carb, Aftermarket heads, (or get yours r&r'd and ported/polished) flat top pistons, Edelbrock TES headers, MSD ignition system (distributor, coil, wires, 6AL..) underdrive pulleys, electric waterpump.. etc etc etc

the 305 is the same block as the 350. all you have to do is get a 350 crank and pistons and you will have a 350 (whilest the parents think ye have a 305). also, 300 out of a 305 is more than do-able, depending on how much you are willing to do and spend. 92RS is the king of kings when it comes to 305 performance. he hasnt been on in a while but try PMing him to see if he responds...

Wut u talkin bout willis?? The 305 and the 350 have the same stroke but the 305 has a smaller bore. You CANT bore a 305 out to 350. The only thing you can do to the 305 is bore and stroke it a bit and get it to around 335 I think.
You can get some decent power out of them but you will definately find that 350 parts are cheaper and more plentiful.

that's not true, they are both small blocks. you could bore and stroke it all the way to 400 if you wanted. i'm not sure if the stroke on a 305 is the same or not, but i do know that w/ any small block you can bore and stroke it to at least 400, so getting his to 350 would be do-able
btw the ls1 small block can be bored and stroked all the way to 427, that's a big ass small block!!!

wrong yourself there my friend, the cylinder walls of the 305 are too close to the water jackets to bore it out any further than the 335.

Ya thats horseshit, while they are both smallblocks and have the same physical dimentions, you cant bore a 305 out to 350 because you will run into the water jackets and ruin the block.
